Taco Seasoning

Taco Thursday is a tradition at our house. It's fun to celebrate the end of the week and that's when all the best shows come on, too.  I love to make guacamole, queso dip and season my meat with my homemade taco seasoning. Here's my recipe:

4 TBsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp paprika
6 tsp ground cumin
4 tsp sea salt
4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

When you add the seasonings together it has this cool sedimentary rock layer look before you shake ut up.  I think it's pretty.

This makes quite a bit of seasoning--enough for several meals. I keep it in a sealed container. It's way better than store-bought seasoning which contains lots of sodium and MSG which equals yuck.  Enjoy!
