IVF Days 1-4 and Spring's Hottest Accessory

So far the injections have been nowhere near as bad as I thought they would be. I have three each day, one in the morning and two in the evening. I take Follistim in the morning and the evening using a pen-like injector (like an Epi-Pen). The Menopur is more work, so I have Kevin do that one (I'm usually making dinner). You have to mix a little sodium chloride in with a little tablet and then draw it out and inject it. I have given myself all the Follistim injections, but I have Kevin do the Menopur since it's a little more painful (and I want to make him feel involved. How nice am I?!).

I've had two ultrasounds so far (one last Thursday and one today). They say everything looks good, and that I'm progressing well.  I may start the Ganerelix (don't all these meds sound like LOTR characters??) on Wednesday. I haven't had any weird side effects or pain (so far) but I expect that to change as my ovaries get larger. Everyone who knows what I'm going through has been so supportive and kind, so thank you all for asking how I am doing. My first day back at school went well, too. One day at a time!

This is my Follistim kit that lives in the fridge. It zips and has compartments inside and everything!

(Like my fashion blogger-esque selfie?) This awesome thing is begging to be repurposed once all this is done!
