Latte Bowls

I believe that even the most mundane things in our lives can bring us joy. I began a collection of latte bowls from Anthropologie.

I first read about them on the NieNie Dialogues. Normally, I can't afford anything in Anthropologie, but these bowls are only $4 each. Anytime I have the chance to shop at Anthropologie (which is rarely), I will pick up a few. They come in beautiful colors and are the perfect size for cereal, chili, anything. Even better, my spoon does not fall in the bowl (as it did with our other bowls).

A few years ago, I decided that my New Year's resolution would be to "embrace color." At that time, most of my clothes were black (because it goes with everything, right) or blue. Now I feel like I've embraced all colors, including ones I did not like so much before....(hear that, orange?) Two of the most colorful, inspirational people I follow are Anna Maria Horner and Color Me Katie.

Every morning, when I open my cabinet doors, I get to choose a color. Will I choose a bowl that matches my outfit? Coordinates with the season? The food I will put in it? Strange as it seems, all these thoughts have crossed my mind. These bowls are so great, they even make the dirty dishes in the dishwasher beautiful.
